The creative
When marketers take advantage of every opportunity to reach live sports streamers, they can create winning campaigns worth celebrating.
If this is also Gregg from Marketing’s Super Bowl, let’s see him celebrate like it.
In this campaign we created parodies of sports moments and recreated them in the world of marketing, and in each scenario, we give praise to the reason for the big win: The Trade Desk.
Because when you activate premium live sports, optimize with AI, and reach fans everywhere they're watching–you win big. Cue the airhorns.
This project originally kicked off with a 360 campaign ask with three :30s, three :15s, six :06s, audio spots, a handful of digital assets, and a budget of 750k. With creative approved up to the CMO-level, and production bids out to directors, our budget was suddenly cut to 250k. The marketing team turned to us, asking if we needed to scrap the concept and think smaller for the new budget. Instead of thinking smaller, we thought smarter.
With our budget cut, we looked at our photography set up and cost from our original concept—snapshots of these classic sports celebrations—and found a way for the concept to live on.
Instead of shooting still photography, we shot these instances in slow motion, knowing we could capture any needed stills from these shots, and still work out some video assets. With only four sports instances and a slashed budget and timeline, we were able to create an entire campaign without sacrificing our creative concept and vision.
